Could Sarah Palin end up endorsing Mike Pence?

Wednesday, Special Report featured Congressman Mike Pence in its “12 in 2012” report of possible Republican candidates for President.

I could go for Mike Pence. I suspect a lot of other conservatives could.

I was impressed with his vote against TARP. At the time it was passed in the hysteria that gripped the country as we plunged headlong into the financial crisis, the ruling class – both Democrat and Republican members of it – were saying we had to have this $700 Billion bailout, while the ordinary people just didn’t see it that way. I like his instincts on that. To me it shows that he sees things much as I do.

What I’m going to be doing as people begin announcing their candidacies for president, is watching Sarah Palin. I think she could be a great galvanizing force in the upcoming primaries. If she sees someone she really likes who throws their hat in the ring, I would not be surprised at all if she decides that her best role would be as an endorser. And I’m strongly inclined to fall in behind whoever she endorses.

And I wouldn’t be surprised if that candidate turned out to be Mike Pence.

I have four potential candidatesĀ I really like. No, make that five. The four are: Michele Bachmann, Jim DeMint, Mike Pence, and Bobby Jindal. The fifth is Sarah Palin. Conservatives would be most effective uniting behind one of them. Sarah Palin may just take the role of trying to galvanize conservative support behind one candidate. It would be a smart move.
