No, Obama – this is a step in the WRONG direction. Look at the numbers!

I’m tired of the Obama distortions and I’m tired of the tepid responses from Republicans.

In Poland, Ohio, on Friday, it was a classic Obama speech trying to pull more fast ones on us. Obama said, “We learned this morning that our businesses created 84,000 new jobs last month, and that overall means that businesses have created 4.4 million new jobs over the past 28 months, including 500,000 new manufacturing jobs. That’s a step in the right direction.”

Sorry, it’s a step backward. Over the past 28 months, we added 7 million people to our population. Last month we added 239,000. The job growth is not keeping up with population. Now in a healthy economy, we would expect about 65% of the population to be participating in the labor force, so we should add about 150,000 jobs per month just to keep pace. For the past 28 months, just treading water would have meant 4.55 million new jobs. No, Mr. President, you’re going backwards. We had more people go on welfare in June than we had go back to work. In the month, over 70,000 more people who should have been employed became unemployed. THAT’S what the job numbers are telling us.

And then he wants the government to make it so that no one has to go bankrupt because they get sick. Let’s see, how many bankruptcies have been caused by his failed policies? He’s not the one to be lecturing us about bankruptcy. But I’ll tell you, I would rather see a personal bankruptcy from illness than see the country go bankrupt, which is where we’re headed. Bankruptcy is no fun. I know from experience. But you do survive and thinks really come out okay on the other end. Romney, you need to pounce on that bankruptcy comment.

And then he tries to accuse Romney of outsourcing while traveling on his bus that was made in Canada. That was cute.

And of course, there’s all this railing against the “policies that got us into this mess.” Debbie Wasserman Schultz was on Fox News Sunday, telling us how happy she was over the 84,000 jobs created in June, and the 4.4 million created since Obama took office, and then giving us this line:

“We need to look at the two paths and the two visions that are being laid before Americans: President Obama’s vision and path, which would moving us forward, and Mitt Romney’s which would drag us back to the policies that got us into this mess in the first place.”

What she and Obama mean by the policies that got us into this mess is capitalism and free markets. In their worldview, free enterprise and capitalism are the policies of the past that we don’t want. Get that point down and you’ll understand the rhetoric of these people.
