Last night, Mark Levin interviewed Dr. M. Zuhdi Jasser, President and Founder of the American Islamic Forum for Democracy. He is one of a number of Muslims who recognize that this mosque is being proposed as a provocation, not as a center of worship or as a path to dialog.
He made an interesting point that is important to note. He said that when President Obama used the incident of this mosque to lecture Americans on religious tolerance, that this is picked up by Al Jazeera and is used by Islamic radicals for propaganda purposes. They will quote polls saying that 70% of the people in the United States oppose the building of this mosque at Ground Zero, and then will tell people that our president had to lecture us about religious tolerance.
It makes it tough when our own president is working against us.
