Solyndra Scandal – contractor reveals that everyone knew up front that the company would eventually fail.

On Wednesday night, Mark Levin had a caller who had been an employee of a company that worked on the Solyndra plant. Solyndra is the now-bankrupt solar manufacturing company in the Bay area that Obama touted a year ago as a shining example of his “green jobs” intiative. She revealed scandalous details about the launching of this company and its half a billion dollars in government funding that was part of Stimulus I. Here is a transcript of what she said:

Caller: “But the interesting thing about it is, while we were out there, while we were building it, because it is a half-a-billion-dollar plant, everyone already knew that China had developed a more inexpensive way to manufacture these solar panels. Everyone knew that the plant wouldn’t work, but they still did it, they still built it.”

Mark: “Let me underscore this. This was a half a billion dollars in American taxpayer money for something that the people working there already knew that it wasn’t feasible.”

Caller: “Yes.”

Mark: “Do you believe the Obama administration knew it wasn’t feasible?”

Caller: “Oh, absolutely. I wasn’t high on the totem pole at all, and even someone like me knew that. And we were still breaking ground.”

So add another deep and serious scandal for the troubled Obama administration.

ABC News reported Thurday, “One of the lead private investors in Solyndra was an Oklahoma billionaire [George Kaiser] who served as an Obama ‘bundler,’ raising money during the 2008 presidential campaign.” (See article, FBI Raids Solyndra.) Energy officials of course responded that Kaiser’s personal ties to Obama had nothing to do with the government funding of this plant.

Of course, of course. The selection process was totally evenhanded. Why would we think anything different? And the recession ended a long time ago, you’ll get to keep your health insurance under Obamacare, which, by the way, won’t add one dime to the deficit. Oh, and Obama’s number one priority is creating jobs. Yes, yes, just trust your government, people, and everything will be fine.
