The political lines between good and evil are becoming more clear

Any decent person who watches these videos that have been released by the Center for Medical Progress, depicting Planned Parenthood executives discussing the sale of body parts from aborted babies has to be disgusted.

That is, any decent person.

That’s what makes the politics of this so interesting. Democrats are, as a group, either silent on this or even trying to defend Planned Parenthood.

Let’s forget about what, in my mind, is a technicality, and that is whether or not Planned Parenthood is making a profit on these transactions. For goodness sake, they are talking about crunching the baby in such a way as to preserve the sell-able organs. Can we decent people not agree that this is evil? The cavalier way they talk about this makes it even more disgusting.

The battle lines between good and evil in our society are being drawn largely in the world of politics. We have some that are for cultural rot, death, and the destruction of sacred institutions. Others take a stand for personal liberty, family, and respect for life. Are these not lines between good and evil?

And so, are we surprised when people who would kill babies in the womb right up until moments before birth–babies that could survive on their own if given the chance–are we surprised when these people act in other disgusting ways and seem to be mercenary about their operations?

David Daleiden, the Executive Director of the Center for Medical Progress, was interviewed on the Mark Levin Radio Show on Tuesday night. Mark asked him about government oversight of these clinics, and this is what he answered:

“There is almost no oversight of abortion clinics in our country, and, in fact, up until recently the Health and Human Services Secretary, Kathleen Sebelius, she was known for her time in Kansas for actually shredding documents to protect abortion clinics that were violating the law.”

Mark then commented, “So we know less about what goes on in abortion clinics at the federal level than we do about how peanut butter is made.”

Mr. Daleiden responded, “You could say that, yeah.”

Mark: “Why do you think that is?”

David Daleiden: “Well, I think it’s for a couple of reasons, and I would maybe describe it as what I call the Kermit Gosnell effect. If your listeners are familiar with abortion doctor Kermit Gosnell out of Philadelphia who, for many, many years, was operating completely outside the law without any kind of oversight from the relevant state officials and departments. In the grand jury report that ultimately tried and convicted Kermit Gosnell for crimes of killing infants and women and violating basic cleanliness and safety standards, that grand jury report said that the reason that Gosnell was able to continue to operate outside of the law for so long was because the women he treated were poor and of color, because the victims were infants without identities, and because the subject matter was the political football of abortion. And I think that when it comes to overall the lack of oversight of abortion clinics in our country, and the really grotesque violations like Planned Parenthood’s sale of aborted baby parts, I think it’s exactly that Kermit Gosnell effect that’s in play again.”

The whole issue highlights the division between good and evil in this country, in my view. Many of the people defending these sickening procedures are the same ones who are trying to stir up race hatred, who are ramming through laws in Congress before the public has time to learn what is in them, who are pushing through regulations and court decisions against the will of the people, who are coddling evil oppressive regimes around the world, who are promoting class envy, and who are for trampling on the freedom of religion. It’s the march of evil.
