Aside from being so serious and scary, the way the Obama administration is conducting the war on radical Islam is really funny. What compounds the humor is the way all his people and other Democrats go along with the ridiculousness.
The latest illustration is Eric Holder at today’s National Press Club luncheon. He was complaining about the criticism Obama has been getting for not calling the war on radical Islam a war, or saying that it is against radical Islam. Here is a quote:
We spend more time, more time talking about what you call it, as opposed to what do you do about it, you know? I mean really. If Fox didn’t talk about this, they would have nothing else to talk about, it seems to me.
And people call him and Obama intelligent.
So what he is saying is that it’s no big deal what we call it. He says that with his mouth. But with his actions, and Obama’s actions, they are saying that it is a very big deal. Because they are so ridiculously stubborn about not using the word Islam to describe the enemy, and avoiding referring to Jews or Christians as their targets. So stubborn it’s comical. The whole world is making fun of them, and he’s trying to deflect the criticism by blaming Fox News. But of course, it’s much wider than Fox News. It’s everyone who cares about the matter who isn’t under the thumb of the administration.
And then there is the insanely ridiculous way Obama wants to prosecute this war. Common sense would say that you identify the enemy and then you defeat them. That is how you conduct a war. And, by the Constitution, you get an authorization to do that from Congress. But no, they have to try to conduct some kind of fantasy military operation where they want Congress to say we will fight these people for three years, and we will do thus and such but not this other. Can you imagine going into World War II that way, or the Civil War, or any other war? It’s a recipe for defeat.
Which I guess is their objective.
