Statists believe in the unlimited power of the federal government.

This Tea Party rebellion is finally getting to the heart of the matter, and this is a point that Mark Levin has been making for years. As he has debated what he calls “statists”, he has repeatedly asked them what the limits of government power are. He says they have never been able to answer that question, and the reason is that the statists are never satisfied. Their goal is to use government power to create a utopia, which is an unattainable goal. So they keep seeking more and more power, and will do so until the entire system comes crashing down on everyone.

Anyway, there was a very sharp lady who put this question to Congressman Pete Starks of California in a town hall meeting a week ago Saturday (July 24, 2010). Here is the video:
