Suspicious of This Elevated Terror Threat Announcement

I heard the reports last night coming out of the Administration on their suspecting a terror attack in the near future.

Man, how I wish I could trust this Regime. I’m sorry, but I hear these assessments coming out of administration officials, and I have these questions coming into my mind, “Can I believe this?”

It’s the history that gets me – the history. Look at it. We’ve had four terrorist attacks that I can remember while Obama has been president, and they screwed up every one. There was the murder of the army recruiter in Little Rock in June, 2009. There was the Fort Hood massacre, the bungling underwear bomber, and the attempted bombing of Times Square. They missed every one, and were generally seen as slow to even recognize that they were terrorist attacks. And that after the fact.

Now we’re supposed to believe that they’ve turned super-competent, to where they can actually anticipate an attack. And just in time for the midterm elections. Gosh, I wish I could believe them. Someone help me believe.

Can anyone else imagine that this is to help us forget their incompetence on this issue?

The Left wanted us to think that Bush raised the terrorist threat level to gain political advantage. I have learned over recent years that one strong characteristic of these people on the Left is their tendency to projection – to project their motives and their thinking on the opposition. I submit that as a reason to be suspicious here.

Someone said to me, “You don’t know that this is fake.” Right on. You nailed the problem right there. I don’t know. We don’t know.

I’m generally a trusting person. Not knowing anything, I’m much more likely to trust someone than not. That has proved my undoing in more cases than I care to admit, but I still think it’s a good policy. But I am also one to not trust anyone who has betrayed me in the past. Which is where I am on this matter.
