Social Security in Spanish – it’s so easy to apply!

My wife was applying for Social Security benefits this morning and I went with her. The largest poster I saw in the waiting room was one in Spanish proclaiming how easy it was to apply for Social Security and Medicare benefits in Spanish. They invited people to visit the Seguridad Social website.

I have had this idea, all the while I have been forced to contribute to this Social Security fund, that it was set up for citizens. And then I have been taught that one of the requirements of becoming a citizen of the United States was that you had to learn English.

So, you may ask, why is a Spanish-language Social Security website needed? Naive you, to ask such a silly question. We are giving away these benefits to non-citizens, illegal aliens—oops, I meant to say undocumented immigrants.

Same thing is going on with our elections. Our friendly U.S. Department of Justice insists that people have ballots written in Spanish. This is because they like voter fraud.

The clear message being telegraphed to illegals, I mean, undocumented people, is, “Wink, wink, go ahead and apply for these benefits, go ahead and vote, whatever. But be sure you keep voting for us Democrats because we’re the party of freebies.” And you know this message is going back home to Mexico or wherever, “Come on up! The benefits are great!”

Meanwhile, government trustees continue to warn us of the inexorable march toward insolvency of both Social Security and Medicare.
